Publish your notices

Publish your notices by clicking on the "Add Death Notice" button (see 2 below)

This opens a series of boxes, or fields, into which you enter information about the deceased (see below).

If you need help, rollover the question mark beside each field. This gives help specific to completing that field.

Once all fields are completed, scroll to bottom of page and click “add notice”.

You can then view the notice on the site, proofread and edit.

IMPORTANT:

  • Notices on RIP.ie are published IMMEDIATELY, so if today or tomorrow appears in the notice, please edit the notice to make sure it is correct. If in doubt use “on” and include the date, for example on Monday, 19th November.

  • It’s free for funeral directors to publish death notices on RIP.ie. We cover our costs through advertising revenues. We offer first refusal to funeral directors to buy some, or all, of the advertising space surrounding their notices. If you would like to take some advertising space surrounding your notices, contact us by clicking here.

  • If you do not take any advertising surrounding your notices, to be fair to those funeral directors who are paying to have their contact details included beneath their notices, we kindly ask that you do not sign off death notices with “all enquiries to...”, “funeral arrangements by...” or "donations c/o...". In the case of donations, feel free to include the charity address or website.
